# Your first deliverable

This walkthrough creates an investment memo from material you choose. You need a signed-in account, access to a workspace and permission to create documents. AI work may use credits.

## 1. Choose the workspace

Open [CorpDev.Ai](https://app.corpdev.ai/). Use the workspace selector at the top of the app and confirm the name before uploading files or entering confidential information. If your invited workspace is missing, check that you signed in with the invited email address; ask its administrator to check the invitation and membership.

## 2. Add source material

Open **Source Files**. Choose **Upload**, or open its dropdown to upload a folder. Select the destination first, then wait for processing. Use **Upload history** to distinguish files that uploaded successfully from files that are still processing or failed.

For a first attempt, use a small set of relevant documents. You can also attach material from the Analyst input. See [Source Files](https://docs.corpdev.ai/corpdev.ai-docs/source-files-and-ai-room) for file organization, search and recovery from processing errors.

## 3. Give the Analyst a concrete brief

Open **Analyst**. Type **@** to select relevant documents, files or folders from the picker. Select **New Document** or an available template, then enter your instructions.

Example using fictional companies:

> Prepare an investment memo on Northstar Packaging for our investment committee. Use the attached management presentation and financial summary. Include business overview, acquisition rationale, revenue quality, risks, open diligence questions and a recommendation. Cite the source for each material claim. Separate reported facts from estimates. Where information is missing, say so.

Choose from the model and collaboration options shown in your workspace, then select **Create deliverable**. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly while it is starting.

## 4. Review and refine

Open the resulting document. Check the source behind important statements and verify that the requested sections are present. Use follow-up instructions to correct or expand specific parts, for example:

> In the financial section, keep revenue and EBITDA in the original currency, show the reporting period, and add a separate list of unanswered questions.

The **Kanban** view on Analyst helps you track recent work. Existing outputs are also available under **Deliverables**.

## 5. Share the finished result

Choose a destination folder and use the document's sharing or export controls. Check the recipients and access settings before sending a link. Open downloaded files to check their layout, tables and charts before circulation.
